Our first full and official day in Bangladesh was jammed
packed! Our host for the day was GSE
Chair, Jammaluddin.
Rotary is extremely active in Bangladesh with 187 clubs and
more 5,700 members. There are many full
time Rotarians including my host father.
They have many wonderful and large projects. Rotary seems to be a major NGO (non-profit
organization) all in itself in Bangladesh.
As Stephanie said, we visited a few of their ongoing
projects – a low cost housing development giving shelter to 960 people in 240
houses and Alhaj Amizuddin Orphanage, with over 140 children.
Since I am a photographer by training, I will leave it at
that and hopefully let my photos tell the story.
Our generous host for the day.
