10 Days...

Happy New Year!!
Only ten days until we leave sunny dry Arizona for humid Bangladesh!

My netbook finally came in the mail and I've set it up for Skype and the blog, now I just need a voltage converter and a bigger memory card for my camera and I should be set up electronically at least!

I also spent over $100 at Target, getting little things like travel sized toothpaste and lotion and hand sanitizer and Kleenexes and other odds and ends that I know at least one of us will need (Vaseline, anti-itch cream, Imodium)... So much to remember!!

I dropped off my prescriptions at the pharmacy, including my Cipro scripts and my anti-malarial... which I will need to start taking this Saturday in preparation... woohoo pills.

Due to the delays with our visas it has been decided that we will just get our visas when we land in Dhaka, so hopefully I remember to set aside approx $160 USD to get that when we land, as well as the prepaid cellphone I plan on buying first thing.

Our shirts have been purchased and now we just have to see if our guy (Mike Whalen with the Rio Salado Rotary) can do a Rotary emblem on them, since the fabric is a little thin. Here's hoping, because otherwise it will be a pain trying to find other shirts and get them embroidered in time!

We came into the game late, what with all of the hiccups and line changes, but I think we have done pretty well with what we had to work with, and I think we really have a good team for an adventure like this! More to come soon as plans are finalized!
