Today was one of my favorite days, although they have all been amazing. We took a boat ride to the Sundarban Mangrove Forest where we walked around for a while and were so lucky to see monkeys!! They would jump on the rail right next to us and I tried to sneak one in my bag to bring home. We also saw some crocodiles (I'll leave those in Bangladesh), and were able to pet deer.
The boat ride...
Everyone loves taking photos...haha
Love the monkeys...
Next, we toured a cargo ship which is owned by a rotarian. It transports up to 10,000 metric tons of cargo and takes about 11 days to transport to Pakistan. They mostly transport jute and sometimes blondes since we blended in with the jute. :)
Afterwards, we went to a picnic hosted by the Rotary Club of Rupsha and they were so much fun! They loved dressing us up in Sari's, putting our hair in ponytails, and laughed as we tried to graciously walk. We went up on stage and attempted a Bangladeshi dance which they found hilarious to watch. The things we get ourselves into...:)
That night we went to our first cricket game and saw the Khulna Royal Bengals win. They were so generous to give us box seats and we had a blast! Somehow the four crazy blondes ended up on the big screen and TV a few times.
After the game I stayed up until 2am talking with my host family. So many good memories...
