Feb 2 Closing Ceremonies for Rotasia - Stephanie

I've decided I need to start adding dates, since mine and Holly's are all jumbled with dates and activities!
I have been sick for the past few days, but I knew how much it meant to Rani (first lady of Rotaract in District 3280) that we all attend the closing ceremony for Rotasia, and our wonderful coordinator (AKA Den Mother) Fawzia even gave us beautiful saris to wear for the occasion!
So we dressed up (me and Holly with the help of my host mother, Haseen) and attended the lengthy proceedings, which recognized all of the participants and what they had to go through to attend (apparently there are quite a lot of restrictions for Nepalese wanting visas for Bangladesh), but mostly it was a lot of young people having a good time! Here is what we looked like in our matching saris...
Holly and I even got to crown Mr. and Ms. Rotasia!

There were a lot of fun programs, including a very nice presentation from the few who did manage to make it from Nepal, and some very good speeches (including a very heartfelt one from our very own Capt. Khaliquzzaman!), but eventually it did have to come to an end... and then the dance party started!!!

I wish my pictures could fully convey the energy and enthusiasm (and the dance moves) from some of these kids! Maybe if I were feeling better I could have shown them a few things (probably not) but I was very impressed!
Then for one last picture with our BFF Rani and her husband :)
They put on a very good program, and we appreciated being included in the festivities!!
